About Sovereign Grace Fellowship
SGF
is an independent church that seeks to follow in the great confessional
heritage of the Church universal. While we are not part of any particular
denomination, we do believe in interdependency and are fully committed
to carefully understanding, applying and proclaiming the truth of God’s
perfect Word, for the supremacy and sufficiency of Scripture is non-negotiable.
We are located in the city of Slidell, which is north of New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain in the area known by locals as "the Northshore." Click to see a map.
As a redeemed people "set on a hill" as salt and light in a dark and lost world, we see our region as a modern day Corinth. It is here that God has sovereignly placed us so that we may equip the saints through the teaching of sound doctrine, encourage believers with the hope of glory, and evangelize those whose eyes are still darkened to the truth by proclaiming the beauty of the gospel of Christ.
Unwavering and immovable truth anchors our purpose while kindness and
compassion are our mode for to do anything without Christ-like love is
to only make noise and to adopt a worldly version of truth is to abandon
